Description

Footgel Hunting is a high-cushioning insole designed for hunters who cover long distances, move over uneven terrain and carry a backpack or gear for several hours. It absorbs the impact of each step and relieves overload on feet, knees and lower back.

Benefits

  • Pain relief and prevention: it reduces discomfort in feet, knees and lower back caused by long walks.
  • Cushioning on uneven terrain: it absorbs the impact of each step to protect feet and joints when walking over rocky areas and slopes.
  • Even pressure distribution: it spreads load more evenly across the whole sole to keep it from concentrating on the main support areas.
  • More comfort inside the boots: it provides a cushioned surface under the foot during long days in the field.
  • Breathability and odour control: the Tecnion® technical microfibre helps keep the foot dry and controls moisture and bad odours inside the footwear.
  • Class I medical device: made in accordance with European medical device regulations. It protects and cares for the wellbeing of your foot.
  • Hypoallergenic and antibacterial: it prevents the growth of bacteria to keep the inside of the footwear more hygienic.
  • Long-lasting eucalyptus scent: the gel contains eucalyptus essence, which fights bad odours.

Scientific evidence

Footgel Hunter insoles are designed to cushion every step and spread pressure better during long days walking over uneven terrain and carrying equipment. Studies on load carriage show that added weight increases plantar pressure and that soft insoles can reduce part of that overload.

Less pressure when walking with a load

In 20 healthy adults, a uniform soft polyurethane insole reduced plantar pressures while walking and maintained this effect when participants walked carrying a backpack.

Cushioned insoles distribute load better uphill

Fifteen athletes walked uphill carrying a 25 kg backpack. Soft, cushioned insoles significantly reduced peak pressure in certain areas of the heel and the fifth metatarsal.
