Description
Footgel Ski is a high-cushioning insole designed to improve comfort inside ski boots.
Its four-layer structure combines merino wool, Outlast® thermoregulating technology, high-density foam and Termocrep-Gel® 3R to protect from the cold, absorb impact and distribute pressure better under the foot.

Scientific evidence
Footgel Ski insoles are designed to distribute pressure better inside the boot and improve comfort during long days of skiing. Studies show that load distribution changes continuously through turns and that the insole's characteristics can significantly change how that pressure is spread under the foot.
The insole changes pressure distribution while skiing
Nine professional skiers made runs comparing different insoles. The insole selected by the researchers had a thin construction, a flat base and a semi-soft top layer, and significantly changed pressure distribution under the foot during turns.

Pressure changes in every phase of the turn
In 11 skiers performing giant slalom at race intensity, load distribution under the foot changed significantly depending on the plantar area and the phase of the turn, showing the high and variable demands the foot withstands inside the ski boot.

Merino wool: greater comfort against moisture
In 37 recruits on daily marches, a fabric with 50% merino wool was perceived as less damp and more comfortable than polypropylene. The study was carried out with socks and supports the properties of merino as a material in contact with the foot.
